Dora Alicia Zuniga was born in Laredo, TX on April 8, 1932. She had one brother. Dora graduated from Ursaline Academy and after attending Laredo Junior College worked as a secretary. She married Alfonso Jesus Zuniga, Jr. on July 20, 1953. They eventually made their home in Houston, where she raised six daughters. She has eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
More than anything else, she loved her time with family, especially playing games, vacations, and gathering for holiday and birthday celebrations. She also enjoyed partying regularly with her close “Laredo Friends”, Sharpstown neighbors, and her Bunco Group and Lunch Bunch.
She is predeceased by her father, Leopoldo Lopez, Sr., her mother, Dora Lopez, and her granddaughter, Bria French. She is survived by her brother, Leo Lopez, Jr., his wife, Oralia Lopez, her husband, Alfonso Jesus Zuniga, Jr., her daughter, Cindy Hall, daughter, Judy Zuniga-Hyde and son in law, Gary Hyde, daughter, Adriana Tucker and son in law, Johnny Tucker, daughter, Theresa French, daughter, Suzanne Zuniga and son in law, Jay Levy, daughter, Cecilia Zuniga and partner Lorri Rivers, her grandchildren, Hailey Hyde, Fallon Tucker, Nico Hyde, Hannah Tucker, Autumn Tucker, Chey French, and Samantha Zuniga-Levy, and her great granddaughter, Autumn Tucker’s daughter, Evelyn Miranda.
