Kim was born on June 26, 1959, to Billy Ray and Janis (Kissel) Marshall of Akron, who preceded her in death. She attended St. Martha's Elementary School and graduated from North High School, later earning an Associate's degree from the University of Akron and a bachelor's degree from Malone University. Kim was a longtime employee of Firestone, a substitute teacher, and--most importantly--a deeply-loving and cherished mother, wife, and homemaker.
Alongside her husband of nearly forty years, Delbert, she raised two sons, Corey and Kyle. Kim was selfless at heart and always put her family first; in recent years, Kim had acted as live-in caretaker for her ailing mother, unaware that she, too, was sick. Kim was a consummate learner, a voracious reader, and she took pleasure in gardening, cooking, game nights, theatre, and backyard strolls with Cooper, her sweet pup. Kimberly Turnbull will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Geauga UH Seidman Cancer Center. Kim’s wishes for cremation are being honored, and a private service was held. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com.
