Francis "Frank" Marion Wallace, 94, of Lake Mary, Florida passed away on July 16, 2017 in Lake Mary due to natural age-related causes. Frank was born in Chesterfield County, South Carolina on March 8, 1923 to John Hampton Wallace and Roxie Mae Wilkes.
Frank enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, baseball and playing pool. He was a member of the American Legion, the United States LST Association and Loyal Order of the Moose. Some of Franks accomplishments are that of being a World War II US Navy Veteran, a Participant of 4 major World War II campaigns including North Africa, Sicily, Italy and Normandy, along with having retired from Martin Marietta in 1985.
Frank is predeceased by his wife Naomi W. Wallace who he married on December 3, 1949 and who passed away on December 18, 2010. He is also predeceased by his 5 siblings; Margaret who passed away in 2008, George who passed away in 2014, Dalpha who passed away in 1990, Kit who passed away in 2001 and Faye who passed away in 2005.
Frank is survived by Virginia L. Stoner and her husband John, Frances W. Morgan and her husband Roger, John A. Wallace and his wife Seleta and Karol Kay Wallace-Walbancke and her husband Rodney. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Memorial Service will be held on August 12, 2017 at 1:00pm at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel in Sanford followed by a gathering of family and friends.
