SALVATORE GIOVANNI ZUCARO, age 53, beloved husband of Lisa Schiavo Zucaro, took his last breath on earth and his first in Heaven on Monday, August 28, 2017. He lived in Monroe, CT for the past 26 years and was born in Paternopoli, Italy on September 10, 1963. He is the son of Antonio Zucaro (predeceased) and Assunta Zarrella Zucaro of Stamford. Sal grew up in Stamford and attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and J. M. Wright Tech High School. Sal was a family man and a father first and foremost. He was a proud supporter of his son Anthony’s football accomplishments at Masuk High School and Trinity College. He also thoroughly enjoyed his daughter Christina’s many choir, dance, and theater performances. He was very proud of his children’s successes, as his daughter is a school teacher and his son is presently attending law school. He loved vacationing in Vermont, Myrtle Beach and Florida, but none more than his beloved birthplace, Italy. He loved relaxing at the Zucaro homestead and simply speaking his native Italian language to neighbors, friends and family.
He looked forward to football season as he was a lifelong Dallas Cowboy fan. He always rooted for his alma mater Uconn Husky Men’s Basketball team, and his beloved Azzuri Italian International team during the World Cup. His most treasured moments were all the weekends he spent racing down the ski slopes at Okemo with his children.
