Mr. Earl Clark, aged 74 of Foxworth, MS died Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Marion General Hospital. He was a welder with Georgia Pacific and retired in 2005 and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Clark; a son, Ray Pounds; his parents, Obie and Mildred McCain Clark; and brothers, Wilfred Clark, and William Harry Clark. He is survived by his son, Randy (Beth) Clark; two sisters, Voncille (Crawford) Kendrick, and Nelda (Bobby) Smith; a brother, David (Jan) Clark; and three grandchildren, Chase Clark, Lauren Pounds, and Caitlin Pounds.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10:30am at the funeral home. Dr. Tim Parker and Rev. Hiram Campbell will officiate at the service and interment will be at Lott Cemetery. Assisting as pallbearers will be Randy Clark, Chase Clark, David Clark, Sherman Pounds, Kenny Thornhill, and Andy Stringer. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Stringer, Emmitt Stringer, Virgil Stringer, and the Sr. Adult Men’s Sunday School Class of New Hope Baptist Church.
