She was born March 28, 1937 in Carbondale, a daughter of James E. and Alma Adkins VanCleve. She married Gerald R. Krawczyk on December 20, 1955. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2008.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Ted VanCleve.
Surviving are her children, Deborah (Robert) Pool of Australia, Katherine (partner, Joe Hesselblad) Krawczyk of Raleigh, James “Jake” (Mary) Krawczyk of Naperville, Teresa (James) Laquet of Belleville, and Thomas (Stacey) Krawczyk of Richland, MI; ten grandchildren, Jennifer and Megan Laquet, Hunter Pool, Caroline, Robert, David, Nathan, Joshua, Marc, and Lesly Krawczyk; one sister, Marsha Rae (Marek Sosnowski) Sosnowska; and other relatives and many friends.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Krawczyk received her Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in Education, and worked as a Substitute Teacher for District 118 in Belleville for many years and was well loved by her peers.
She was a longtime member of Union United Methodist Church in Belleville. In years prior, she was a Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member at First Baptist Church in Belleville.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2017 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville.
