Born on March 3rd 1933 at Canvas WV, he was the son of the late Will Boliver Lewis and Lydia Ellen (Williams) Lewis.
Mr. Lewis was market specialist at the Beckley Farmers Market where he devoted 30 years as a market manager and also ran a produce stand at Pete’s Country Stand. Mr. Lewis had a great love for flowers, honey, and walnuts. He was also a member of the Fayetteville Methodist Church, the Fayetteville Masonic Lodge, the American Legion Post 149, and the Fayetteville Rotary Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Mitchell Gene Lewis; brothers Wilson Lewis and Jim Lewis; also by sisters Grace Morrison and Lilly Bennett.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife Mary Virginia Lewis; sons Porter ‘Bill’ Lewis and wife Kari; Will Emmett Lewis and wife Anne; one daughter Lorrie Ann Lewis; also 6 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Fayetteville United Methodist Church at 2pm on Saturday January 27th, 2018 with Pastor Timothy Bleigh officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12-2pm the same day. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
