Charles August Forcke Jr., 87, of Freeport, Texas, went to be with our Lord on January 27, 2018. Charles was born March 17, 1930, in Oak Ridge, Roatan, Honduras C.A. to Charles Forcke and Joyce Cooper Forcke.
Charles came to the U.S. at the age of 16. He resided with his Dad and Step-Mother, Pauline Adams Forcke. He worked with his Dad as a ship builder and also worked on the fishing boats for years. He loved being on the ocean. He was also an accomplished craftsman. He enjoyed restoring old homes to their former beauty and enjoyed restorting and building beautiful furniture. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was loved and adored by all. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Brazoria, Texas.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Joyce; step-mother Pauline Adams Forcke; sister, Jacquelyn Forcke McClurkan; brother-in-laws, Lester Brown McClurkan, James Via, and John Roenbeck.
Charles is survived by his sisters, Mary Forcke Via, and Jesse Roenbeck; brother Michael (Debra) Forcke; and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Marty A. McNab, Franklyn Charles McNab, Landon George Smith, Travis Shayne Smith, Ernest Price, and Phillip N. Huerta.
Visitation will be held at Restwood Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Saturday February 3, 2018 from 9:00am- 11:00am, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am.
