Mrs Ruemke passed away on wednesday
January 31 at Will-a-Bell Nursing Home.
She was born March 23,1930 in Taylor to
Arthur and Mary Schroeder. She attended schools in Hutto and Thrall. She married Edmund Ruemke and they were lifelong residents of Bartlett.
She owned and operated The City Lounge from the late 1960's to the mid 1980's, where
she cooked the best Chicked Fried Steak in Texas. She was also a cashier at Aladdin Car Wash in Temple for many years.
She was a member of SPJST in Holland and
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Temple.
She loved watching the Dallas Cowboys
football games. She also enjoyes sewing and
playing bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her brother Melvin Schroeder of Beaumont.
Survivors include a brother,Charles Schroeder
of Corpus Christi; four children James Ruemke
of Belton,Donald Ruemke and wife Nancy of
Arlington.Janice Uson and husband Ray of Bartlett,and Ervin Ruemke and Linda of Troy; seven grandchildren Alissa Orozco,Adria
Dixon,Nicholas Ruemke of Arlington,Kathleen
Hrickzo of Bartlett, Joshua Uson of Bartlett, Amanda Fulton of Johnson City and Jessica
Ruemke of Troy.
Visitation will be from 6 Pm to 8Pm Friday at
Goodnight Funeral Chapel and Burial will be at the Holland cemetery.
