She is survived by her loving mother, Alpha (Lox) Evans of Warsaw; son Jack Murphy of California; daughter Janell (Brent) Williams of Keene; two sisters, Shirley (John) Latham of Coshocton and Tina (Bud) Raspberry; brother Clemmie (Bucky) Polk Jr. of Coshocton. Cherrie had nine grandchildren, Tiana Murphy, Tre’mar Murphy, Blaze Williams, Kay’don Williams, Konya Williams, Maliya Williams, Brenton Williams, Gabriella Williams, and Brenell Williams; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Cherrie is preceded in death by her father Charles Mooney, sister Sheila Kay Mooney, and niece Kelly Latham.
Cherrie loved music and traveling. Spending time with her family brought her great joy; she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Monday, February 19, 2018, from 11:00 to 1:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday at the funeral home at 1:00 pm with Pastor Cody Updegrave officiating. Per Cherrie’s wishes, a cremation will follow at a later date.
