Richard Bruce Heigele
1937-2018
Richard Bruce Heigele, husband, father, brother, grandpa and friend, has passed away. Better known as Dick, he was born and raised in Saliana, Kansas and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. He earned a BS in Finance from Kansas State University, where he played football and was a member of Phi Kappa Theta.
Dick was an insurance agent and broker, first with Liberty Mutual and later with Alexander and Alexander (now AON). He also spent several years as a teacher’s aide with Venus ISD. He was a many-faceted man- a golfer, sports car enthusiast, loyal Cowboys fan, skier and runner. He loved to read and had a finely-tuned and sharp sense of humor (Argyle Sweater variety). Dick was a lifelong Catholic and maintained a close and personal relationship with his Lord-they conversed daily-and he followed Christian precepts and principles all his life.
Dick Heigele is survived by his wife Estelle (Sue) of Duncanville, his son Christopher and family of Grand Prairie, his daughter Heather Frazee and family of Orlando, Florida, and his brother Douglas of Rose Hill, Kansas.
No service is planned at this time, but the family invites your prayers for the soul of this good man. Or if you wish, a gift to The Salvation Army or Doctors Without Borders would be appreciated.
