Cris Warren Jeffrey was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1946 to Donald and Thelma Jeffrey in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Del City High School in 1966 and then served four years in the U.S. Navy. Cris got his Bachelor Degree in Finance from UCO, and then didn't balance his checkbook for a whole year. Cris worked, among other places, at IRS and
the State of Oklahoma.
Cris was married twice and had two daughters, Connie and Dana, and then in 1973 met the love of his life, Linda. Theywere married September 24, 1981. Linda likes to say she wasn't his first wife but she was his LAST wife. Cris loved his step-children, Denise and Ken, like they were his own and was a great influence in their lives. The last addition to their family was their granddaughter Cassie, who was the source of great joy and many funny stories. Cassie liked to tell Cris he was her best toy!
Cris became ill and it became a struggle. He left this earth as he wanted, from his home, to rest in the arms of Jesus on February 25, 2018. Cris was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barbara Brown. His is survived by his wife, Linda Kay Jeffrey; his daughters Connie Jeffrey and Dana Rainosek; his step-children Denise Courts and Ken Hudson; his granddaughter Cassandra Sorrells; his brother Bob Jeffrey; and his stepbrother Bill Patty. He also leaves behind a host
of other friends and relatives who will miss him dearly.
Services are at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 2, 2018 with burial at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
