He was born January 13, 1955 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Frank and Dolores May Stoewhaas Murphy.
Lee had served in the United States Army.
He has worked for over 40 years as a Security Guard for Burns International and then Securitas.
Lee was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Chief of Police Association and Pennsylvania State Sherriff’s Association.
He attended the Hewitt Presbyterian Church at one time.
Surviving are his siblings, Fawn Lilley of Clarksville, Patty (Ron) Rose of Waynesburg, Herman Murphy of Clarksville, Michelle (Scott) Fischer of Carmichaels, and Edward (Rose) Murphy of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is his wife, Evelyn Molesy Fischer Murphy.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, with the Rev.
