Alvin J. Talberg, born April 13, 1928, in Detroit Michigan, died February 25, 2018 at home in Orange, surrounded by family. Al moved his family to San Diego, California in 1958, and then to Orange County in 1964. He was a salesman until retirement in 1993, when he returned to orange Coast College and earned certifications in Geriatric Fitness Training and Tai Chi. He taught Tai Chi to hundreds of people until a month before his death.
Al leaves behind the love of his life of more than 65 years, Carol Talberg; his daughter Sheri (Jeff) Tovo; his son, Dr. Jonathan Talberg; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Barry Talberg in 2010. Celebration of life will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Dr., Newport Beach, CA at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 1st, 2018. Reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the CSULB Choral Music program, or the charity of your choice.
