Bayarri, Manuel Anthony, 83, of Boca Raton, FL passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. He was one of 4 children born to the late Manuel Bayarri Hurtado and Mercedes Bayarri Calabuig in Valencia, Spain on April 28, 1934.
He is lovingly remembered by his sister Conchita Bayarri Calabuig and husband Oscar Avallone of Italy and children, Derek Bayarri and wife Rebecca of Coral Springs; Vanessa Bayarri of Deerfield Beach; Carlos Torres and wife Carmen Rosa of The Dominican Republic; and treasured grandchildren Isabella, Alessandra, Carlos Antonio, Sebastian and Marcelo as well as many beloved family and friends.
He came from humble beginnings and after his father's death he started working at the age of 13 to support his family. He was very driven to succeed and learned all he could in the hotel business and worked his way up in the industry. He took many jobs in Spain, Germany, England, Switzerland, Canada, United States and the Caribbean.
He exemplified the true meaning of a gentleman and was determined to make his mark as a Hotelier in the Dominican Republic and remains a prominate and well respected figure in the Hospitality Industry.
In his leisure time, Anthony loved listening to classical music, collecting movies, gardening, painting, watching futbol, bullfighting and attending Las Fallas in Spain. He was close to his sister despite the miles and felt his greatest accomplishment was his children. He was a proud abuelo and papa to his grandchildren. He will be unforgettable to all that knew him and will be greatly missed.
In keeping with Anthony's wishes services are private and at a later date there will be a Celebration of Life in The Dominican Republic and he will be laid to rest in his hometown of Valencia, Spain.
In addition to his wife Joanne, he was preceded in death by his sisters Merche Bayarri Calabuig and Amparo Bayarri Calabuig both of Valencia, Spain.
