James was born on May 2, 1922 in Orlinda, Tennessee.
James spent his early days with his mother and father on the farm in Tennessee.
James was drafted into World War II in November of 1942. He proudly fought for our country until 1944. James earned numerous awards on his journey. He continued with the Army for 30 years and ended his career with the Army as Director of Job Corp pay at the finance center in Indianapolis, Indiana. James truly lived life to the fullest through his work, his love for the army, that he would tell stories about to anyone that would listen, his love of cars and especially his children. He had the ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.
James is survived by four of his daughters, Kyla Archie, Krystal McCowin, Brianna Nobles and Ashlee Brown, his many grandchildren and even more great grandchildren, cousins and other family. He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter Mae Gale Malone.
Those whose lives James touched are invited to the National Veteran's Cemetery, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd in Phoenix, Arizona at 10:30am on Friday, March 23, 2018.
