On March 8, 2018 Barry Hibbett Walsh passed away at Mandrin Hospice House in Harwood. Barry was born in Lebanon, TN and grew up in Gallatin, TN.
She was a graduate of Peabody College in Nashville, TN. Those who knew Barry knew she was full of life, loved to travel the world, and was an avid reader.
Barry worked for Eastern Airlines out of Atlanta, GA for many years and then moved to Annapolis where she was a tour guide for the US Naval Academy and the Hammond Harwood House. Barry was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Annapolis as well as a proud member of the Al-Anon community of Annapolis.
Barry was predeceased by her parents William Allen Hibbett, Mildred Rickman Hibbett, and her sister Lucy Hibbett Lasater and former spouse Harry Walsh. She is survived by her step-son Larry (Marcia) Walsh and granddaughter Leigh, great grandchildren, Audrey, Lance, and Kate. Barry is also survived by her six nieces and nephews, Larnie (Laurie) Lasater, Kirk (Betty) Lasater, Amy (Bubba) Spears, Doug Lasater, Brad (Michelle) Lasater, and Heidi Holliday, numerous great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home 147 Duke of Gloucester St, Annapolis, MD 21401 from 1 PM to 2 PM on Sunday March 11, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM at the First Presbyterian Church 171 Duke of Gloucester St, Annapolis, MD. Barry will go home to Tennessee for burial at the Gallatin City Cemetery in Gallatin, TN.
Donations may be made in her memory to either the Hammond Harwood House or the First Presbyterian Church of Annapolis.
