Danice was born March 11, 1956, in Simpson County, a daughter of the late Herbert Lee and Mary Elizabeth Porter. She graduated from Pearl High School in 1974.
NeeCee, as she was called by family and close friends, lived a full life. She enjoyed playing cards and games with her family and was a strong competitor. Her most precious possession was her little Boston terrier, Suzie Q. Suzie was the fourth in a long line of Boston terriers and she truly loved each one of her “babies”.
Survivors include her son, Nicholas Porter and wife Rose; sisters, Jean Humphrey and husband Walt, Marilyn Womack, and Sylvia Shaw and husband Troy; brothers, Terry R. Porter and wife Tammy, Herbert Porter, Jr. and wife Rae, and Lee Alderman; grandchildren, Terry, Bailey, Riley, Jeremy, and Harleigh Porter; several step-sisters, one step-brother, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Danice was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Lee Porter, and one sister, Sandra Kaye Shaw.
