David Lee Leedy

David was born December 17, 1938 to Robert Leedy and Vera Parker in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

David joined the Air Force shortly after high school in 1956. At eighteen years of age he was specializing in a technical occupation as a Communication Machine Repairman and advanced to an Airman Basic. Stationed at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, David met the love of his life Janet Lenora Nielsen. With passion and purpose in their hearts they were married on August 23, 1960 and the world has been a better place ever since. After leaving the Air Force David and Janet lived in Lima, OH and Fort Wayne IN, where they had two girls. In 1967 David took a job in Portland OR for Monroe Systems of Business where he worked for a majority of his career. Shortly after moving to Portland, OR David and Janet welcomed a third baby girl. Once settled in, the focus was on raising a family. David’s last employment was working for Parks Medical, which he spoke about fondly. After retirement David spent his devotion taking care of Janet until 2007. David was a devoted husband and loving Father, Grandfather and will be dearly missed.

David is survived by his three lovely daughters; Sandra Walker, Jodi Fritchie and Terri Cannon. Six amazing grandchildren; Jeffrey Walker, Stacy Trogdon, Gregory Walker, Jennifer Huffman, Jackie Cannon and Alison Cannon. The world’s most precious great grandchildren; Annalise Walker, Dakota Lakey and Everett Walker.

A celebration of life for David will be held Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, OR 97229.
