She was born on June 23, 1967 in Klamath Falls to Gordon Lee and Vlaine T (Stiles) Ramsey. Teddy was a graduate of Henley High School, and then received her BA from Willamette University in 1988, majoring in History with a minor in Political Science. She worked for the State of Oregon in the Dept. of Land Conservation and Development as an operations manager. On July 19, 1997, she Married Ronald Wayne Leland, and together they had a son, Jonathon, and she considered her marriage and the birth of her son to be 2 of the proudest moments of her life. Her proudest professional accomplishments were her graduation from college, and having a full career, with grace, dignity and loyalty. She earned several achievements and awards, and enjoyed a variety of interests including fly fishing, reading, gourmet baking, cooking, camping and dancing all kinds, including ballroom, waltz, fox trot, folk, and Scandinavian. Teddy also had an amazing talent for opera singing.
Teddy is survived by her husband of 20 years, Ronald Wayne Leland; her son, Jonathon Theodore Leland; sister, Shawn Karlsson; brothers, Scott G Ramsey, Monty A Ramsey, and various step brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be made in Teddy’s name to the American Cancer Society.
