Eleanor L. Strojny, 86, of Fairhaven passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 19, 2018 in Rhode Island Hospital after a sudden illness.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Frank and Loretta (Pietrzykowski) Strojny she was a lifelong resident of Fairhaven.
Miss Strojny worked as an assembler for Cornell Dubilier for 43 years before her retirement in 1993. She was family oriented and dearly missed her Mom and Sister who passed away several years ago. Eleanor did enjoy the company of her dear friends at Oxford Terrace in Fairhaven.
She is survived by her cousin and caretaker, Frances and Edward Bagge of Acushnet; a niece, Donna Marks of CO; and a nephew, William F. Pragluski of VA. She was the sister of the late Barbara F. McClain.
Her funeral will be Friday, March 23, 2018 at 10 am in WARING-SULLIVAN at FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Bedford. For online tribute/directions www.waring-sullivan.com
