LEVANT-- Born in Millinocket Maine on March 24, 1934 to Harold and Francis (Oliver) Mackin passed away on March 21, 2018 after suffering a stroke. Gloria had many adventures in her almost 84 years of life. Along with happily raising four boys on French Island in Old Town while married to Al Cote, Gloria enjoyed many careers and hobbies. She was employed at UMaine as a secretary and records technician, she was a bus driver, bank teller, Avon representative and beauty shop owner. Gloria was also a talented artist, sang with the Heart of Maine Chorus, was a banjo player, a seamstress and made beautiful crafts. Later she fulfilled a lifelong dream of living on a farm when married to Ronald Hodgdon, a dairy farmer in Levant. During that time she travelled to France and Ireland with friends. In recent years Gloria made many friends at Woodlands Assisted Living. All who loved and knew her will miss her laughter, silliness, and her pies!
Gloria is survived by her four sons, John Sulinski and his wife Francine of Old Town, James Cote of Milford and significant other Vicki Brissette, Joseph Cote and his wife Damaris of Epping, NH, Jeff Cote of Bangor; brother, William Mackin and his wife June of Hopkinton, MA.; five grandchildren Gillan Sulinski and her finance Travis Smith, Ella Sulinski and her boyfriend Brandon LeVasseur, Justin Cote, Jasmine Cote and Brooke Sulinski, great grandson Beckam Smith, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her mother, father and sister Beverly Hartley.
