A. Doris Lambert, 95, of Manchester, died March 29, 2018 at the Hanover Hill Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness. She was born in Manchester on February 16, 1923 the daughter of John and Agnes (Derome) Thompson and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester West High School.
She was employed for many years at her uncle’s restaurant, Rod’s Ice Cream, a landmark on the Manchester east side but her true vocation was that of a wife and mother and her devotion to her family was paramount. She enjoyed getting together with her family as well as reading, shopping and trips with her children to Hampton Beach. She will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Roger Rouleau, her second husband, Thomas Lambert, her son Daniel Rouleau, her brothers Robert Thompson and John Thompson, her sister Winifred Thompson and her son-in-law C. Arthur Bresnahan.
Members of her family include her daughters Mary Bresnahan of Merrimack and Karen Rouleau and her partner Gary Greenspan of Bedford, her granddaughters Jennifer Saldana of Manchester and Meghann Bradley and her husband David of Cleveland, Ohio and her great-grandchildren Zachary Heiser, Noah Saldana, Clara Bradley and Theodore Bradley as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was be held on Tuesday April 3 from 4 to 7 pm at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday April 4 at 10 am in St. Anthony of Padua Church 172 Belmont St. Urn burial will be at a later date.
