He was born on October 24. 1923 in Oneonta the son of Peter and Maria Rose Blasetti. He married Mary Amarose on October 27, 1946 and she predeceased him on January 26, 1997.
Angelo served in the US Army during World War II. He was captured by the Germans and was confined to a prisoner of war camp for eighteen month. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart.
For a period of thirty years, he worked as a letter carrier for the US Post Office based in Oneonta.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church.
He is survived by his daughter Cynthia K. Decker of Oneonta; a grandson, Andrew S. (Victoria) Decker of Rochester; a great granddaughter, Addison Rose Decker also of Rochester, and several nieces nephews and cousins.
Besides his wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Louie and a sister, Angie: a granddaughter, Kadi Rose Decker, and a son-in-law Gregory L. Decker.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Emmons at the convenience of the family.
