The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Flowood, MS with mass following at 11 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland.
Mr. Glorioso was born to Joseph Phillip and Lena Domino Glorioso in Itta Bena, MS on December 1, 1932. He received a B.A. from Millsaps College and a Master’s from Missisippi College. He played football and baseball at Millsaps and was an inductee into the Millsaps Sports Hall of Fame. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Dedicating his life to education, Mr. Glorioso enjoyed the majority of his time at Bentonia High School. There he taught history, coached football and girls basketball, and served as principal before retiring in 1986. After a short retirement, he began a career in the private school system, retiring from Jackson Academy in 2016.
Mr. Glorioso, a longtime resident of Brandon, MS was an active member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Diggs Glorioso; his parents; and his sister, Mary Etta Strickland.
Survivors include his cherished friend, Betty Springer; son, Joey Glorioso (Debbie); daughter, Lessa Hanbury (Kieth); grandchildren, Eric Hanbury (Candace), Maggie Dowell (Mack), Megan Sepehri (Arash); great-grandchildren, Lauren Hanbury and Millie Gallarno.
