Phyllis Jean Mucha, 87, of West Peoria, formerly of Glasford, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Heddington Oaks in West Peoria. She was born on January 31, 1931 in Woodstock, Illinois to Archie and Rose (Gish) Mitchell. She married Kenneth “Mike” Kingsley on November 24, 1948 in Mapleton, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1961. She later married Erwin Mucha on October 4, 1963 in Glasford, Illinois and he preceded her in death on August 27, 2003 in Peoria. She is also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Beth Schoettmer, four brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are two children, Terry (Samuel) Hannam of Peoria, Illinois and Michael (Nancy) Kingsley of Escondido, California; one son in law, Cliff Schoettmer; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Phyllis worked at the Peoria State Hospital and the University of Illinois in their business office for many years before retiring. She was a volunteer at Wildlife Praririe Park and enjoyed following Illini Bluffs sporting events over the years. She was a member of the Glasford Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Glasford Baptist Church in Glasford. Pastor Wayne Yeager will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in the Kingston Mines Cemetery. The Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel will be handling the arrangements.
