She was born on May 4, 1929 in Bishtown, PA the daughter of the late George and Alma (Fye) Collar. On June 24, 1950 she married Eugene Peters, he survives.
Charlotte was the first women rural mail carrier in Woodland, retiring in 1992. She previously worked in McGregor Clothing Factory.
She was a devoted member of Lake St. United Methodist Church, she truly loved her church family.
She enjoyed vacations at the beach, jigsaw puzzles and gardening.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 67 years Eugene Peters, a daughter, Sharon Hegi and her husband Russell of Woodland and a son, Robert Peters of Woodland; three grandchildren: Sarah Foster and her husband Tim, Hugh King and Sean Peters; and a great grandchild, Taryn Foster.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and a granddaughter, Lori Creek.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Sean Smith officiating. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6-8pm on Tuesday, April 10 at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held from 10am until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
