Albert Kirk Germany, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on the early morning of Saturday April 7, 2018 at the age of 89. He attended Istrouma High School and graduated in 1953 from Louisiana State University, with a Bachelors in Agriculture. He was a World War II veteran in the United States Navy and an Honor Guard with the American Legion Post 38 for 28 years, as well as an employee with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture, where he retired. He was a member of the Broadmoor Methodist Church and a Mason, in which he was honored for over 60 years with the St. Albans Lodge of Jackson, LA. He enjoyed golfing and fishing during his lifetime. He is survived by his wife, Virgie S. Germany of 64 years, and sons Al and wife Carin, and Gary F. Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Cosby and Vera Lambright Germany, his brothers John C. Germany Jr. and Ralph Germany. Visitation will take place at Greenoaks Funeral Home 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a Mason ritual starting at 7:00pm on Wednesday April 11th. Visitation will continue on 10:00am until service time at 12:00pm on Thursday April 12th at Greenoaks Funeral Home, with David Boudreaux of the American Legion Post 38 to officiate the service. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
