Rachel was preceded in death by Luis Cesar Vila Sr, her husband of 55 years, granddaughter Jenny Ann Vila, mother, Alice M. Webster, father, Milton A. Correll, and great granddaughter, Ella Grace Kellam. Left to mourn are her children: Maxine Forrester (Mark), Daisy Mooneyhan (Asa), Luis Vila (Amor), Joseph Vila and sister, Esther Sims. Rachel was blessed with ten grandchildren: Lisa, Heather, Megan, Rachel, Rebecca, Luis, Jacob, Jordan, Chloe and Tristian along with 18 great-grandchildren.
Our dear mother was a woman of great wisdom. The love of her family was selfless. Her greatest joy, caring for children, was boundless even amongst her greatest struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Rachel was a home maker by choice. She had an immense talent for sewing, design and cooking. She will be most remembered though for her sweet, angelic nature. She is our family’s strength, hope and courage.
"Rest now Mama. Your work here is done but the journey for you continues. We will live the void of missing you, now and forever. Until we meet again know that your family loves you. There will never be another spirit like yours.”
Our family would like to thank the staff at Hampton Luxury Villas and Heartland Hospice for their exceptional care of our mother.
