Kathryn was born on October 20, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated Salutatorian from Southwest High School. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Kathryn worked at Bendix where she met her husband-to-be, Charles. Together, they owned Adams 5 & 10 in Columbus, Kansas for 25 years. After selling the store, she went back to Bendix (Allied Signal) to work until she retired.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles; her parents Joseph C. Needles, Jr. and Ruby (Smith) Needles and a sister, Betty Jo Epps.
Kathryn is survived by her son David Adams.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 12, 2018 followed by a graveside funeral service at 3:00 pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
