Fox, Elana YouVonne, of St. Ann, MO, died on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the age of 69. Beloved daughter
of the late William and Velma Fox; dear sister of Anita Riechers; loving cousin, aunt, and friend to many;
and renowned author enjoyed by thousands through her innovative books.
Elana held a Bachelor Degree in English and a Masters in Social Work. After being employed by the State of Missouri and while employed full time by a large private company, she began a literary career. In 1997, under the penname of Elana V. Fox, she completed the artwork, printing, binding, and distribution of The Official Coloring Book of the World’s Fair of 1904, an introduction to the fair for children which was available as a souvenir at the St. Louis Arch gift shop. In doing research for that project, Elana found resources were limited in their scope of the Fair and decided to compile a much more definitive look inside the World’s Fair of 1904. In 2003, she published Inside The World’s Fair of 1904, Volume One and Inside The World’s Fair of 1904, Volume Two, both of which are available from brick and mortar book stores and online book sellers. Elana was in the process of completing a Genealogy of Haywood-Albert-Fox and Fox-Haywood families which dates back to 1620 and includes numerous photos while simultaneously writing a science fiction novel.
