Clarice Moore Augustine, born January 15, 1922, went from this life to heaven on April 6, 2018. She was a Jacksonville native graduating from Andrew Jackson High School then marrying David Augustine, Jr. She was very talented using talents serving at Southside Methodist Church, a charter member, and at Southside Assembly of God. There was little she couldn't fix, paint, decorate, bake or create. As a child she played mandolin at Friday Musicale and in teen years sang at the Florida Theatre. She cooked large dinners at both churches and worked with the youth at Southside Methodist. A relationship with Jesus was core and she and David held a weekly Bible study at their home for years. Many people gave their lives to Jesus during that time. She loved helping people, especially taking food to those in need.
She is predeceased by father and mother, Ira and Lottie Moore; brothers, Ira and Francis Moore; sister, Louise Carlucci McCreight; son, John Gary Augustine. Survived by daughter, Sandra (Tommy) Chappell; grandchildren, Troy (Myra) Chappell, Kelly (Mike) Chappell Olive, Carrie Augustine, Jonathan Augustine; ten great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren; nephews, Michael Carlucci and Matthew (Karen) Carlucci.
