He was born October 26, 1945 in Carbon County, PA, son of the late Carl R. and Florence(Zehner) Koch.
He was a graduate of Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to retirement he was a teacher with the Harrisburg School District and later was Manager of the Circulation Department of the Patriot News.
Rod enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports especially college football.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Yen Phan, of Camp Hill, 2 children, 3 step children, several grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Viewing will be Friday, April 13, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St. Camp Hill, with rosary to be recited at 6:30PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2121 N. 3rd St. Harrisburg. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
