Dr. Brenda Sheree Bryant Hausser, age 71 of Stockbridge, Georgia passed away April 12, 2018. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Archie Wesley and Lila Blanche Pittman Young. She was preceded in death by a previous husband, Ronald Bryant and a step-son, Bruce Bryant.
Dr. Hausser received her Doctorate in Education from Nova University in 1993, a Masters of Education from Georgia State University in 1987 and a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Georgia State University in 1977. Dr. Hausser was a member of Community Bible Church, the Gold Wing Rider’s Association, member and past president of Georgia Reading Association, a member of the International Literacy Association, member of Leader IRA Special Interest Group, Former Assistant School Superintendent in Butts County, and Reading Coordinator for the Henry County School System. Dr. Hausser has received numerous awards and recognitions for her service to various education and reading organizations. She enjoyed reading, teaching, riding motorcycles and traveling, especially to the beach and the mountains.
Survivors include her husband, Alan Hausser; sons, Kevin (Angie) Wimberly of Clarkesville, TN and Jon Bryant of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Hunter Wimberly of Jacksonville, FL, Hayden Bryant of McDonough, Drake Bryant of Savannah and Cameron Beau Bryant of Stockbridge; sister, Gail (Lee) Mullins of McDonough; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Brooks Everett and Roger Mileham officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.
