Dee was born in Yakima, WA, October 21, 1938 to Helen and Bill Smith. She was raised in Ellensburg and later moved to Yakima. She married Rudy Bossert in 1955. The two were married for over 25 years, raised five children and successfully owned and operated orchards throughout Eastern Washington.
Dee somehow found time to attend nursing school and became a nurse in 1971. She worked the neuro-floor at Memorial Hospital for many years.
Dee married Joe Nuñez in 1985 and they raised two great grandchildren while she owned and operated Total Care, her home health business.
She is survived by her children, Deena Bossert-Mason, Rudy Thomas Bossert, Richard Bossert, Dan Bossert, Andy Bossert, and the grandchildren she raised, Ricky and Marissa.
She is also survived by siblings Richard Smith, John Strong, Arnold Hess and Patricia Tate; also 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Dee had many loves and passions in life including her children, her garden, her work, her music and her great faith which she passed on to her family.
Visitation will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Graveside service will be held at Tahoma Cemetery on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
