Susan Crider was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and passed away at her home in Lake Oswego, Oregon at 61 years young.
Susan grew up in Ames, Iowa with her parents Dave and Marty Cox. Her adult life was mostly spent in Fargo, North Dakota where she met Weldy Crider. The two married on June 16th and spent over 32 years together.
She was in the medical field and spent most of her career as a Physician’s Assistant. She loved working with the elderly community at three different nursing homes in Fargo.
Susan and Weldy had many adventures together throughout their lives; among them, traveling to tropical locations. Their last adventure together consisted of retiring and moving to Due West, South Carolina. During her time in Due West, Susan belonged to the Chrysanthemum Garden Club. She always enjoyed “puttering” about and “digging in the dirt." She loved "talking smart" with friends and family. Susan enjoyed the simple things in life and said so often.
Another love of Susan’s was animals of all kinds. While in South Carolina, she fed deer that would frequently come visit her. When she lived in Oregon, she would also feed the neighborhood peacocks. Susan loved her and Weldy’s dog, Scuffy; who has survived Susan and is now living with her daughter, Amy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Crider and her son, Robert Lussier. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Lussier-Perry (James Perry); step-sons, Weldon (Lori) Crider, Kevin (Bobbie) Crider, and Dan Crider; step-daughter, Tina (Terry) Beach and fifteen grandchildren.
Susan will be laid to rest next to her husband on May 19th at the GAR cemetery in Eagle Bend, Minnesota. She will be missed by all those she touched during her lifetime.
“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

“If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk in my garden forever.”
