It is with heavy hearts the family of Kimberly Hartshorn Gasper announce her passing on April 13, 2018, surrounded in love by all who cared for her. She was born in Jacksonville, Fl. on April 26, 1962 and was the oldest of 3 siblings. She graduated from Airline High School in Bossier City, La. and attended college in Tallahassee. She was a talented floral designer and worked with several local florists before opening her own shop in Lakewood.
She was blessed with 3 sons, Stephan and Justin Parnell and Gabriel Gasper, all of Jacksonville. She was called Gigi by her 4 grandchildren, Mattheus, Leticia, Knox, and Carter. She is survived by her mother, Patsy Harrison (Jim); father, Tom Hartshorn (Linda); grandmother, Mimi Fendt; sister, Tracie Scott (Andy); brother, Michael Maples; special nieces, Samantha and Reagan and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 20th from 11 a.m. until time of Celebration of Life at noon in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with Dr. Ronnie McKenzie and Reverend William Crook officiating. Interment to follow in Mandarin Cemetery.
The family would like to say special thanks to Dr. Stephen Grable for the years of care and to all of the healthcare givers at Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit. The love and compassion given to our family will always be remembered.
