Ann J. Aberle, 95, of Vernon, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2018 at Vernon Manor. Ann was born November 29, 1922 in Lodi, NJ, a daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Fiore) Cotrufo. She was the beloved wife of the late Leroy E. Aberle.
Ann worked for many years, well into her 70’s in retail sales in New York. She was a strong and determined woman that lived and died on her own terms.
She will be dearly missed by her family: son and his wife, Bill and Thomasine Aberle of Jackson, NJ, daughter and her husband; Lois and Peter Krause of East Hartford, 4 grandchildren: Dawn, Barbara, Richard and Kristin, 5 great grandsons, sisters Chickie and Loretta, and brother Frank, and many nieces and nephews.
Ann’s family will be forever grateful to the staff at Vernon Manor for their excellent care and concern for Ann for the last 10 years!

Friends and family are invited to a period of visitation on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tnpk., Glastonbury CT 06033. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 9:30am at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Bartholomew Church, 736 Middle Turnpike East, Manchester CT.
