He was “Mark” to the very end, swinging for the bleachers with exceptional bravery. Born June 6, 1953 to Carleton W and Maryan Stewart Shaw in San Diego CA, Mark also called Texas home living in Hallettsville, Houston, San Antonio and at times, on the river in Bandera. Mark held many titles in his life, most notably: A Loving Father to his four children: Bree Alyssa Rogers (Steven), Alexis Darby Floyd (Matt), Victoria Lee Shaw, and Stewart Cameron Shaw; A Loving Grandfather to five: James, Valerie, Jonathan, Jason and Steven; A Loving Brother to Michael Alexander Shaw (Susan), Carleton G ”Gary” Shaw (Leslie) and Maryan “Princess” Tinney (JB); A True Friend to many, including Dan Dinges, brother-in-law JB Tinney, nephew Eric Shaw and special friends and caretakers Clifford and Marilyn Bolin; and an Entrepreneur Extraordinaire. The love of Mark’s life was Barbara ”Bobbi” Ann Pross and her daughters Summer Lynn Johnson (Brad and children Alyssa and William) and Sarah Elizabeth Pross. Mark adored his dogs Misty, Doobs and Izzy and sharing his knowledge of fishing and hunting. Yet it was his passion for masterfully preparing, cooking and presenting gourmet meals that best demonstrated Marks larger than life personality.
