Yolanda “Lannie” Hampson, age 76, of Dunwoody, Ga, after a 5 month battle with cancer, passed peacefully at 1:00 am on Sunday with her family by her side. She is preceded by her mother and father, Carina Cafiero Harbin of Savannah, GA and Samuel Hubert Harbin of Tate, Ga, her Aunt, Yolanda Cafiero “Sister Mary Amalia” of Savannah, Ga, and her husband of 34 years, Richard Frank Hampson of Atlanta, Ga. She is survived by her son, David Frank Hampson of Milton, Ga, his wife Beth Ann, and granddaughters Kyla and Claire, as well as Michael Richard Hampson of Marietta, Ga, his wife Kristine, and grandsons Casey and Austin. She is also survived by her cousin Joseph Cafiero of Savannah, Ga. She was a graduate from St. Thomas More Elementary School, St. Pius X High School - class of 1960 - and St. Joseph’s Infirmary School of Nursing in 1963 before becoming a Registered Nurse. All who knew Lannie were privileged to have been witness to and recipients of her sharp wit, joyful humor, selfless service and most of all, her boundless love. We are blessed to see her legacy live on through Michael, David and her grandchildren. She is dearly loved and will be forever remembered and deeply missed. The family is immensely grateful for the love, support, encouragement and prayers from family and friends as we process this great loss. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 17 from 6 to 8 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church, 2443 Mt Vernon Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338 on Wednesday, April 18 at 2 o’clock with burial ceremony to follow at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt.
