Mildred was born on February 20, 1918 in Fallsburg, NY to the late Harry and Frances (Goldstein) Estrin. She was a social worker in her working years, and helped many people providing individual cognitive therapy. She was very devoted to her family and they were her world. She loved to travel, loved her crossword puzzles, and would tell the best stories to anyone who gave her an ear to listen. She could make anyone laugh, no matter how ill she may have felt at the time. You would never know it as she was always smiling.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Jessica and Julie, and great grandchildren Kira, Justin, Adrianna, Milena, and Sage. She was predeceased by her son, Joel R. Cheskin, in 2006 and her husband, Irving W. Cheskin in 2008.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Bethel Cemetery in Croton-on-Hudson, NY.
