Ivonne (Stefanska) Galinski, 85, of New Britain, passed away peacefully by her loving and devoted family on April 19, 2018. She was born in Krakow, Poland to the late Aleksander and Helena (Rosenthal) Stefanski. Ivonne was owner and operator of the Galinski Travel Service for over 45 years. She traveled throughout the world and hosted countless tours. She spoke four languages and acted as a translator within the New Britain and Hartford court systems. She met her husband, John, in Argentina, where they married. They immigrated to the United States in 1952. She assisted countless people in their dream to immigrate to the USA and become United States citizens. Her beloved husband John, predeceased her in 1997. She is survived by her two sons; John-Philip Galinski and George Galinski, three grandchildren: John-Dean, Katia and Hannah Galinski.
Funeral services will be Monday April 23, 2018 at 8:30AM from the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial, 9:30AM in Sacred Heart Church, Broad St. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Burritt St., all in New Britain. A time of visitation will be held Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 3-6PM at the funeral home.
