Betty Jo Alene Prevatt, 91, passed away May 4, 2018. She was born July 2, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois and resided in Orange Park, Florida. She graduated from Hirsch High School in 1944 and went to Woodrow Wilson Junior College in Chicago and then traveled to Jacksonville to become one of National Airlines first stewardesses where she met and married the love of her life, Roy Allen Prevatt. Although family was the heart of her life, she was active in many public service organizations and was particularly proud to be a life member of the Orange Park Garden Club. She also worked many years as a volunteer with the Salvation Army. Mrs. Prevatt is survived by her loving children; Alene Kiesel (Hil Kiesel), Allen Prevatt (Lisa Prevatt), Carol Mosley (GB Mosley), Gayle Prevatt (Enzo Torcoletti), Sheri Hancock (Alan Montgomery) Also, survived by nine grandchildren, Jarrett Kiesel, Shannon Kiesel Dorsey, Marie-Gene Prevatt Lingle, Brett Prevatt, Alecia Prevatt Stedman, Lauren Mosley Nourse, Bane Mosley, Louis Hancock, Lindsey Hancock Bosque, nineteen great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 Years, Roy Allen Prevatt and two grandchildren, Hilbert Kiesel Jr. and Ryan Kiesel. Betty Jo had 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday May 12, 2018 at Methodist Church of Orange Park, 2051 Park Ave, Orange Park, Florida 32073.
