In her early years, she enjoyed spending time and working in her mother and father's delicatessen and later worked in their candy store/soda fountain on Fox St. in the Bronx. During World War ll, she worked as a secretary for the Veteran's Administration.
On March 3, 1945, she married Samuel Streisfeld in New York City who was a Pharmacist and had a Drugstore in the Bronx. She lived in the Bronx until 1960. Then she moved to Yonkers, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Bronxville, and Eastchester, N.Y..
She was a devoted and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Helen Streisfeld was a force of nature, a strong advocate, a secretary, and served as a volunteer for children in public schools.
She is survived by her son, Arthur Mark Streisfeld and daughter Roberta Lynn Cymbrowitz (Morris), two Grandsons, Jamie and Gregg (Bridget), and two Great Granddaughters Chase and Dylan.
She will be greatly missed.
