After graduating from high school, James served our country as an MP in the US Army. He married Grace Dalton in 1950, and began his career of 30+ years in the construction industry.
Sport fishing, fly-tying, camping, and traveling were activities dear to his heart, but woodworking was his favorite hobby. He could carve and whittle wood for hours; making lovely gifts for the people that he loved.
James is preceded in death by his wife, Grace; a son, Phillip O’Neal; a daughter, Karen Cone; and his three brothers, Everett, David, and Otis O’Neal.
He is survived by his daughters, Billie Wilson, Margaret Wingert, and Linda Dart; his son, James O’Neal; 6 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and many others that love and miss him very much.
James’ family would like to thank the amazing, caring staff at Wesley Home Care Center, and also the staff at Sticklin Funeral Chapel for their kindness during this difficult time.
