Margaret Bender passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 2, 2018, while visiting her daughter Kim in Alabama. She was born in Akron, Ohio, and was a longtime resident of Randolph prior to moving to Boynton Beach, Florida, with her husband Robert.
When she was young, she worked for Firestone as a secretary and also modeled products manufactured by Firestone for WWII. Margaret (Marty) was very artistic, loved to paint and work with ceramics. She and her husband Bob, along with their children, were active in the Mason’s and the 4-H horse club. She attended the Randolph Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her son Thomas, husband Robert, and parents Homer and Lucretia Bailey.
She is survived by her daughter Kim (Tinker), her granddaughter Bekki (Travis), great-granddaughter Roben, brother James T. Bailey, and many nieces and nephews.
She was truly a thoughtful, kind, and caring person to everyone and will be missed deeply by her family and friends.
