Milton was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 19, 1919, and raised in the Cleveland, Ohio area. He married Edith Lucille Mendelson of Cleveland in 1948, and they had three children (Michael, Karen, and Steven). In 1957 he moved with his family to Phoenix, Arizona. Around 1980 he retired to Apple Valley, California, and later moved to the retirement community of Atria Del Rey in Rancho Cucamonga where he lived until his passing.
Following service in the U.S. Navy, Milton pursued several overlapping careers. He worked as a short-haul truck driver through much of his adult life. He was also a devoted jazz musician specializing in guitar and bass, and played for many years in a dance band at the Mountain Shadows Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. Milton's band also played at the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. In addition, Milton was a successful entrepreneur. Together with his wife Edith, he established and operated the KOA Kampground and trailer park in the desert community of Circle City northwest of Phoenix.
Survivors include Milton's children Michael, Karen, and Steven, and Steven's wife Nancy; grandchildren Rachelle Delmonico and Mark Crosby (children of Karen), and Mark's wife Keri; and great-grandchildren Damien and Dillon (children of Rachelle), and Jacob (child of Mark and Keri).
Milton was a hard worker and family provider, an advocate for social justice, and a memorable personality to those he encountered over the course of his long life. He will be sorely missed. His family is grateful for the wonderful care and support provided by Atria Del Rey of Rancho Cucamonga.
