suddenly on May 8, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife, Molly,
and children Andrew, Emily and Charlotte Bonner, Alexis Brandolini
(daughter Barrett), Kristine Edginton (daughter Marley and son
Tristan), Nicole Yurkanin (daughters Penelope and Kaia) and Matthew
Brandolini (daughter Kinley). He is also survived by his brother James
Brandolini, his sister Barbara Simmington, and many loving nieces and
nephews. He is preceded in death by his cherished son, Lewis, his
father Lewis J Brandolini II, and his mother, Jane Brandolini.
Lew was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 9th, 1946.
He was a graduate of Malvern Preparatory School, where he later served
on The Board of Directors, and attended Georgetown University and
Villanova University before proudly serving his country with the
United States Army in Vietnam.
Upon returning home, Lew assumed leadership of the Brandolini
Companies, a second generation homebuilding company founded by his
grandfather in Philadelphia, which he successful ran for over 50
years. A nationally recognized award winning home builder and real
estate developer, Lew was a member of the National Association of Home
Builders. The epitome of a true entrepreneurial visionaire, Lew
expanded into commercial real estate development, accumulating a
diverse portfolio of properties that have had a profound impact on
the community.
He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed horseback riding, fly fishing and
shooting. He also had a lifelong passion for golf and he and Molly
were active members of Stonewall Golf Club In Elverson, PA, The
Loxahatchee Club in Jupiter, FL, and and Castiglion del Bosco in
Tuscany, Italy. He had an unbridled love of the outdoors and found
great comfort in the tranquility that his farm provided.
Although a larger than life personality with considerable
accomplishments, Lew was a true gentleman who lived with deep and
sincere empathy for all people. Without saying anything, he made you
strive to be a better person and inspired you to achieve more. Lew’s
legacy will be remembered through his diligent faith, his boundless
love of family, and his contagious spirit.
Lew’s funeral mass will be held on Tuesday May 15th at 11
am at the Daylesford Abbey in Paoli, PA with visitation from 9 am to
10:45 am. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
