Doris was the daughter of the late Richard and Isolina Hardin.
Doris loved to spend time with her family and sing Italian songs to her grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was spent in her gardens and cooking for her family in her kitchen. Doris and Gary drove to Gladwin, MI every summer from Florida, where she enjoyed watching all the birds in her bird baths and planting the most colorful flowers. She enjoyed traveling with her husband all over the world, such as Italy, Greece, Portugal and Bermuda. She was very wise and calming to everyone who knew her. She was a great big sister to all of her siblings. She was a problem solver to most that knew her and felt comfortable coming to her for advice.
