Entered into rest on May 10, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Andrycha; loving mother of Rick (Sharon) Andrycha; sister of Gloria (the late Stan) Sacha, the late Stanley (the late Wanda), Ted, Walter (Marie).
Stella, 97, was a strong woman who grew up in the Depression era. The daughter of Polish immigrants, she dedicated her life to her husband Joe, to whom she was married for 67 years, and her son Rick. She loved to bake, sew, do Ceramics and read. She was very proud of the love for reading she instilled in her son. During WWII she worked 7 days a week at Bell Aircraft in North Buffalo making wings for, and installing decals on fighter planes. Following the War she worked at Trico Products in Buffalo until Rick was born and then became a stay at home mom. Known for being a fabulous cook and baker she would put on quite the holiday spread at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
She was proud of the fact that she served as a jurist in various city and county courtrooms on five separate occasions. At election time she could be seen volunteering at polling booths in her neighborhood.
One of the greatest enjoyments of the last two years of her life was celebrating the birth and following the stories of her first great grandchild, Catalina. Her beautiful smile and caring soul will be missed by all who knew her!
A funeral service will be held on Friday May 18th at 11:00 AM at St. Stanislaus's Cemetery in the Resurrection Chapel. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association in Stella's name at
